What we provide
Littlehampton Architectural Glassworks delivers architectural glazing systems across commercial, residential and specialist sectors.
Operating from Littlehampton Welding in West Sussex, LGW benefits from the established fabrication, lifting and installation capabilities at the riverside facility.
This integrated structure allows glazing systems, supporting frameworks and site delivery requirements to be coordinated through a single operational team.
Projects range from structural glazing and glazed balustrades through to curtain walling, roof glazing and bespoke architectural installations, delivered throughout the United Kingdom and internationally.
Architectural Glazing
Curtain Walling
Delivery of curtain walling systems for commercial, civic and specialist projects. Systems are coordinated in accordance with architectural requirements, structural interfaces and installation sequencing.
Aluminium Glazing Systems
Supply and installation of aluminium glazing systems for external and internal applications. Works are coordinated with project specifications, adjoining trades and programme requirements.
Steel Framed Glazing Systems
Steel framed glazing systems delivered where project requirements call for slim sightlines, structural performance or integration with associated metalwork.
Internal Glazed Partitions
Internal glazed partitions supplied and installed for commercial, residential and specialist environments. Systems are coordinated to suit layout, performance requirements and adjoining finishes.
Execution Class & Certification
Certified structural delivery
Supporting steelwork and bespoke metal fabrications are undertaken by Littlehampton Welding Limited in accordance with BS EN 1090 UKCA marking requirements, with capability up to and including Execution Class 3.
Fabrication procedures, inspection processes and quality control measures are maintained in accordance with project specifications and applicable industry standards.
Structural & Frameless Glazing
Structural Glazing
Structural glazing systems developed to suit project specific architectural and engineering requirements. Works may include glazed screens, façades, canopies and feature glazing installations.
Frameless Glazing
Frameless glazing systems delivered where visible framing is minimised or removed. Details are coordinated to suit glass specification, fixing requirements and installation methodology.
Glass Canopies
Glass canopy systems supplied and installed for entrances, external areas and architectural features. Supporting structures are coordinated where required as part of the glazing package.
Technical Coordination
The in house design team at Littlehampton Welding supports projects from early concept through to fabrication detailing and production information.
BIM integration and 3D modelling are used to coordinate glazing systems, supporting structures and architectural interfaces. Engineering input is provided where required to review fixing strategies, tolerances and installation methodology.
Pre construction services agreements may be undertaken to support buildability, coordination and logistical planning prior to manufacture and installation.
Balustrade, Staircases & Floors
Glass Balustrades
Glazed balustrades and guarding systems delivered across commercial, residential and public environments. Works are coordinated with structural interfaces, adjoining trades and installation sequencing.
Glass Staircases
Glass staircases and staircase glazing delivered as part of architectural stair structures and feature installations. Glass, fixings and supporting elements are coordinated to suit project requirements.
Walk On Glass Floors
Walk on glass floors developed in response to project specific loading, performance and installation requirements. Glass specification and support details are coordinated during design and delivery stages.
Integrated Project Delivery
Architectural glazing packages, supporting structures and associated architectural metalwork can be coordinated through a single delivery team, maintaining continuity from technical development through to site installation.
Glass specification, framing requirements, fixing details, access constraints and installation methodology are reviewed as part of the delivery process. Where projects require bespoke supporting frameworks or associated architectural metalwork, these elements can be coordinated through Littlehampton Welding.
This allows glazing systems, supporting structures and installation requirements to be developed as part of a coordinated project scope.
Specialist Systems
Fire Rated Glazing
Fire rated glazing systems delivered in steel and aluminium framed configurations. Systems can be specified to provide fire resistance ratings from 30 to 90 minutes in accordance with project requirements and applicable standards.
Doors & Lift glazing
Glass doors, automatic door systems, and lift glazing supplied and installed as standalone packages or as part of wider glazing schemes. Systems are coordinated with access requirements, adjoining glazing and building interfaces.
Specialist Bespoke Glazing
Specialist glazing packages delivered where project requirements call for bespoke detailing, non standard interfaces or coordination with associated fabricated elements.
